Babysitting 101 (Ages 10-13)Youth DevelopmentThis course is best suited for 10 to 13-year-olds interested in learning the current practices of caring for young children and how to manage their babysitting business. Students will learn safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants and how to handle behavior problems. Students receive a reference book, handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit. Bring snacks, lunch, a drink, a pencil, and colored pencils or markers.Summer 2026 -
Baseball Camp with DASH Sports (Ages 6-12)Recreation / YouthDASH Sports Summer Baseball/T-Ball camps provide players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage on the final day. Athletes should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, snack, and a baseball glove (spikes and bats are optional). Drivers Education - Safeway Online class (July 27th - August 7th, 2026)Driver's EducationOnline learning classes are taught by Safeway instructors. The State requires that students have a camera and microphone and be actively engaged with the instructor during each 3-hour class. If a student misses a lesson, they can make up that exact lesson by registering for a make-up lesson on their Safeway account.. The permit test is not provided during the class. Safeway would email the Zoom information and account verification email before the class begins.Summer 2026 -
Extreme Robotics: Battlebots (Entering grades 2-7)Youth EnrichmentThis camp will energize and excite students by combining the LEGO building system’s versatility and the Mindstorms EV3 microcomputer brick. Working in teams, students will construct fun LEGO models, experiment with programs, and compete in robotic challenges. F.A.S.T. KIDS – Staying Safe While Home Alone (Ages 7+)Youth DevelopmentFirst Aid and Safety Trained Kids is a 4-hour course for 7-10 yearolds. This course helps prepare children for staying safe at and away from home. Lessons cover basic first aid, water safety, vehicle safety, home emergencies, injury prevention, stranger and internet safety. Fishing in Your Neighborhood: Family Fishing ClinicYouth EnrichmentJoin the MN DNR’s Fishing in the Neighborhood (FiN) program for a fun, family-friendly evening of fishing! Designed for ages 5 and up, each youth must be accompanied by an adult. No experience or equipment is needed—we’ve got you covered! Rain or shine, come dressed for the weather and enjoy a great outdoor adventure close to home. Only register the participating youth. There will be a question to list the accompanying adult. Flag Football Tykes with DASH Sports (Ages 2.5-5)Recreation / YouthDASH Sports flag football Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of football in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced. Fun, skill-based games will be played to practice newly learned skills. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes/cleats are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided. Parent participation is required for the 3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group. Plan to meet on the field in the back of the school. Fun, Friends & Fitness: Rivertown BoatingSpecial ServicesLet's go for a boat ride! Meet at the dock in Prescott to board the pontoon. Please arrive 15-30 minutes early. Join your friends for a fun time on the river. The outing is free, but you must register with Community Education. Staff/caregiver must also register as there is limited room on the boat. We are sharing this boat ride with our friends at Lifeworks. Life jackets are provided. Be sure to wear sunscreen.
