Glass mosaic sounds like a fancy, difficult art form however in this class, you will learn how it can be fun and easy while you mosaic a table lamp or candle lantern. Look through the idea book, browse the patterns and stencils, and choose from dozens of colors of precut glass. The first night is dedicated to working on your project, having fun, and discovering your creative side. There is the possibility of homework. During the second night, you will grout and learn about glass cutting, mosaic resources and other types of mosaics. There will be a supply fee based upon what you choose to decorate. Options are in the sign up and supply fee is due the night of class. This is a two part class! Supply fee: $35 for 8x8 lamp, $45 for 4x9 lamp, 10" suncatcher is $25, 8" is $23, 6" is $18.

TIG stands for Tungsten Inert Gas. This type of welding bonds metal to metal without the use of rods, sticks or wire feeds. Greg will cover safety as well as introductory concepts of sculpture design. Students should wear a long sleeved cotton shirt, jeans or heavy-duty work pants, closed toe leather shoes or boots. If you love to work with glass or would like to give it a try - this class gives you the opportunity to learn how to cut glass, design, select and build your own artistic piece. These classes are fun! Suncatcher is 8”x8”. Make the fused glass piece in class. They will be brought back to the artist studio for fusing in a kiln at about 1480 degrees. Three sample tests and corrected copies are provided. Handouts relating to the governing jurisdictional codes, applicable and currently enforced in Minnesota, are explained in an easy format. Gather your puzzle fanatic friends or family members! Join us Saturday, August 1st for a puzzle tournament. Doors will open at 8:45am for coffee and treats. Teams of four will race to put together a 500 piece puzzle. All teams will put together the same puzzle which will be revealed that morning when the clock starts at 9:15am. The team that finishes first or has the most done when the timer ends wins bragging rights! We will provide the puzzle, coffee and a sweet treat. Your team gets to keep their puzzle! This event is open to teams of all ages. Register under one person’s name and then the person registering will answer a question of who the other three people are on the team. The team with the best theme will win a special prize! We will host a community puzzle exchange during this time. Spectators and tournament participants are welcome to bring a puzzle or two if you want to trade with others.
