Fishing in Your Neighborhood: Family Fishing ClinicYouth EnrichmentJoin the MN DNR’s Fishing in the Neighborhood (FiN) program for a fun, family-friendly evening of fishing! Designed for ages 5 and up, each youth must be accompanied by an adult. No experience or equipment is needed—we’ve got you covered! Rain or shine, come dressed for the weather and enjoy a great outdoor adventure close to home. Only register the participating youth. There will be a question to list the accompanying adult. Funding for this project was provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR).Summer 2026 -
TGA Parent & Child Pickleball: Learn & Play (Age 6 - 12)Recreation / YouthLearn pickleball together in this fun parent-and-child program designed for beginners. Each class includes simple instruction, partner drills, and guided gameplay so families can build skills and actually play together by the end of the session. No prior experience is needed and paddles are available to borrow. One adult participates on the court with the child for the entire class. If there is a cancellation due to poor weather, an additional session will be added at the end of the series.Summer 2026 -

This is a fun evening for participants of all ages! Advanced registration is requested. Tickets will be available at the door but to avoid the long line, purchase your tickets in advance with Hastings Community Education. The price includes a general admission ticket, seats are not reserved. Doors open at 6pm. Hosted by Hastings Community Education. Write Your First Novel (in 90 Days!)Adult EnrichmentThis intensive course provides a schedule of crafting a novel from start to finish, which you can finish in as little as 90 days! This class will also help you stay motivated throughout the journey. You will learn how to: select your novel genre and develop a compelling premise, create multidimensional characters and immersive settings, craft a detailed plot outline, manage your time to keep your writing flow consistent, combat common roadblocks including writer’s block, master the art of self-editing: refining your plot, and fixing pacing, dialogue, and characterization problems. Receive constructive criticism from beta readers and explore publishing options. By the end of this class, you will know how to complete your novel and have the knowledge and confidence to move forward with the publishing process. Indoor Walk ProgramRecreation / AdultSept 8, 2025 - June 5, 2026 HHS upper level indoor track M-F: 6:00-7:00 AM and 3:00-10:00 PM*Sat: 8 AM - 3PM* $25 per person per school year $10 for Senior Center Members and Adult with Disabilities Program Participants Enter through the upper doors of the high school and enjoy a walk in a temperature controlled environment. Walk passes can be purchased online but participants must pick up a pass and have their driver’s license scanned for a raptor badge at Tilden Community Center. Passes are not issued at the high school. Dates are subject to change. Walking during the school day is not permitted because we do not have staff to supervise the area and high school students are using the track during the school day. Please do not enter the building before 3pm on school days to allow the students to clear the building and to avoid congestion. *A walk program information letter that will include building closed dates and all other necessary information can be picked up at Tilden Community Center or a link will be in your email confirmation.Winter/Spring 26
