Babysitting 101 (Ages 10-13)Youth DevelopmentThis course is best suited for 10 to 13-year-olds interested in learning the current practices of caring for young children and how to manage their babysitting business. Students will learn safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants and how to handle behavior problems. Students receive a reference book, handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit. Bring snacks, lunch, a drink, a pencil, and colored pencils or markers.Summer 2026 -
Baseball Camp with DASH Sports (Ages 6-12)Recreation / YouthDASH Sports Summer Baseball/T-Ball camps provide players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage on the final day. Athletes should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, snack, and a baseball glove (spikes and bats are optional). Drivers Education - Safeway In Person @ HHS (Dec 7th - 22nd) 2026Driver's EducationSafeway Driving School offers a comprehensive driver education program designed to prepare students ages 14.5 to 18 with the knowledge and skills needed for safe, responsible driving. The program includes 30 hours of state-approved classroom instruction to prepare students for the permit exam, along with 6 hours of individualized, behind-the-wheel training led by professional, experienced instructors right at Hastings High School. Flexible scheduling options make it easy for families to fit classes and driving sessions into busy schedules, with convenient make-up opportunities available. Upon completion, students receive the required certification to apply for a Minnesota driver’s license.Fall 2026 -
