Sharks: Special Olympics Swimming

We will practice on the following Saturday mornings at 9 AM at the Hastings Middle School Pool, 1000 11 th Street W, Hastings, MN. Please arrive by 8:45 AM and be ready to participate in warm up exercises at the practice start time! 

March 28 April 11, 18 May 2, 9, 16, 30 June 6 June 13 (this date only – practice will likely be at the outdoor pool)

Enter the Middle School at door #3. Building doors unlock at 8:45. Practice begins promptly at 9:00 AM. Unified partners should plan to attend every practice with their athlete. Unified athletes must be swimming at a level at or above their athlete.

Use the restroom before practice begins. Chaperones should stay in the pool area during practice. Please do not wander throughout the building. Unified partners should plan to attend every practice with their athlete. Unified athletes must play at a skill level at or above their athlete. 

COMPETITIONS: 

REGIONAL COMPETITION: As of now, we will not be participating in Regionals this year but will return to competitions next year. 

STATE COMPETITION: No state competition this year due to USA Games in June.

Athletes will never be turned away if they are unable to pay the participation fee. You will have the option to request a scholarship for your fee when you register
online with Hastings Community Education. Your request is confidential.
